IT Helpdesk / System Administrator

Department
The IT department manages the corporate network (spread over 3 locations) for approximately 250 co-workers and 2600 students and consists of about 10 employees, of which 4 are responsible for the 1st line helpdesk. The other employees are responsible for network and system management, security, application management, workplace management, and project management. The IT department is part of the general support departments within the cluster of the chairman of the Executive Board.
General function description
- Member of the IT Helpdesk and first contact for employees and students in case of issues,
- Register and update calls, monitoring progress and keeping the administration up to date,
- Knowledge of and experience with TOPdesk is an advantage,
- Knowledge of and experience with ICT infrastructures: Windows devices, Microsoft 365, Teams, Sharepoint, Endpoint management,
- A hands-on and problem-solving mentality, not only with tickets but also with network failures, telephony problems and incidents with educational equipment and/or applications,
- Preparing and installing new hardware and/or software in collaboration with system engineers,
- Assist in functional management of the various company specific applications,
- Maintaining the documentation of systems and applications.
Candidate profile
You have/are:
- You live in the Amsterdam area,
- A senior general secondary education degree or comparable education,
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably within the education institution,
- Certified on ITIL 4 Foundation or are willing to obtain it in the short term,
- General theoretical, practice-oriented knowledge of automation, applications, databases and infrastructure,
- Skills in solving IT problems and ability to communicate clearly in Dutch and English with users,
- Administrative, technical knowledge and understanding of the related organisational and functional relations,
- Skills in the precision and accuracy of the administration,
- Good knowledge of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
Remuneration
Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 7 the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between € 2.724,20 and € 3.631,83 gross per month, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.

Additional information
Hotelschool The Hague works with a 40-hour workweek. The starting date for this position is as soon as possible depending on the notice period of the applicant.
The work location for this position will be at our campus Amsterdam, but -if necessary- can be either Campus The Hague too.
