Department
Timetable Office is responsible for the scheduling of all lecturers and students in both campuses of Hotelschool the Hague. The current team works closely together and has daily online or live meetings to align tasks. Hotelschool The Hague works with software from TimeEdit, TE Core, TE Curriculum, TE Viewer, TE Reserve. In order to cover a sick leave, we are looking for a colleague to contribute to the team.
General function description
As Scheduler your main priority is producing and publishing timetables for Students and Faculty for both of our campuses (The Hague and Amsterdam).
Based on collected data on employability, availability and occupation of spaces, study programs and amount of student numbers you produce a timetable at different levels.
You identify issues and discuss this with the Team Leads of the educational teams, or Course Team Representatives.
You need good communicating skills, both in English and Dutch, as some of the communication will also be in Dutch.
You acknowledge conflicting interests and have the social and communication skills to bring these interests together in agreement.
With your analytical skills you see complex problems with many variables as a challenging puzzle.
You are an active team player willing to cooperate and contribute to the school’s success. You feel at home in a dynamic and international academic environment.
Candidate profile
You have/are:
Relevant work experience as a timetable or scheduler, preferably in education.
Knowledge of the scheduling tool of TimeEdit;
Bachelor level education;
Excellent oral and written command of both Dutch and English;
Affinity with higher education and the hospitality industry;
Ability to work in a team as well as independently;
Proactive attitude to problem solving;
Experience with dealing with peak workloads;
Ability to work flexible due to peak workloads;
Good computer skills, experience with Excel;
Patience and ability to work meticulously also on seemingly boring tasks.
Remuneration
Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 8 of the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between € 3.477,41 and € 4.595,29 per month, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.
