You will teach in our bachelor programme, as part of the team Business Innovation. Your colleagues have a business background and are passioned to share their knowledge and experience with our students, while staying in close contact with the industry.
General function description
As a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship, you will design and deliver practice-oriented education for students at bachelor level. You will help students build entrepreneurial knowledge, skills, and confidence through lectures, workshops, coaching, and project-based learning.
You will:
Develop and deliver inspiring, high-quality education in entrepreneurship and innovation
Coach and supervise students in individual and group projects, startup ideas, and venture development
Translate academic concepts into practical tools, cases, and learning experiences
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of entrepreneurship education
Assess student learning and provide constructive, developmental feedback
Build bridges between education and practice through your professional network, real-life cases, and external partnerships
Contribute to a learning environment that encourages curiosity, experimentation, critical thinking, and initiative
Stimulate challenge based learning in and outside the class room.
Candidate profile
You have/are:
Extensive experience in entrepreneurship, startup development, innovation, venture building, or business creation
A strong academic background in entrepreneurship, innovation, business administration, management, or a related field
At least a master’s degree in a relevant discipline;
Experience in teaching, coaching, training, or facilitating learning, preferably in higher education
Broad and up-to-date knowledge of entrepreneurship theory, models, and methods
The ability to connect with students and coach them in a motivating, structured, and inclusive way
Strong communication skills in English;
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work with colleagues, external partners, and industry stakeholders
If you are a change maker able to illustrate theoretical concepts with relevant impactful examples on at least one of the following topics: Regenerative Business, Regenerative Gastronomy, Regenerative Society or Regenerative Work, it is a plus
You are energetic, curious, and student-centered. You understand that entrepreneurship education is about more than starting companies: it is also about initiative, creativity, problem-solving, and creating value in a rapidly changing world.
Remuneration
Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between € 4.632,17 and € 6.677,44 per month, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.
