General function description 

• You will train students in leadership and lecturer in the area of Regenerative Work
  
• This position is available for 0,9 fte (36 hours per week)

• Areas of focus within leadership include giving and receiving feedback, giving presentations, demonstrating assertiveness in dealing with difficult guests, and practicing proactive communication within teamwork

• Leadership skills are focused on the development of the students’ emotional intelligence and ability to deal with adversity within the context of leadership, including the training of motivating employees, progress and appraisal interviews and meeting skills.

• Two to four times per year, you will guide students through a week-long outdoor leadership development programme.

• You are working in the course Regenerative Work

• You are a professional and motivating trainer who is able to encourage young adults to achieve excellence.

• You are flexible and an active team player willing to cooperate and contribute towards the university’s success.

• You feel at home in an English speaking dynamic and international academic environment

Candidate profile 

You have/are: 

• a Master’s degree

• a minimum of 4 years work experience in training communication, leadership and management skills, at least a part of which is within an international environment.

• a change maker able to illustrate theoretical concepts with relevant impactful examples on Regenerative Work

• strong analytical and conceptual skills and an ability to explain complex business ecosystems, enabling students to join the dots

• academic Research skills

• an excellent command of the English language (C1-C2 level)

• very good social and communication skills

• an ability to work independently with a proactive attitude towards problem solving

Remuneration 

Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 11 the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between € 4.535,76 and 6.359,47 gross per month based on fulltime employment, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.  

In addition, Hotelschool The Hague offers:

Additional information 

Hotelschool The Hague works with a 40-hour workweek. The starting date for this position is as soon as possible depending on the notice period of the applicant.

The work location for this position can be either our Campus in Amsterdam and/ or Campus The Hague.
